QMV Awarded Super Review’s Superannuation Consultancy Of The Year 2019

QMV has been announced winner of Super Review’s inaugural Consultancy of the Year for Tender and Other Services. The runner-up finalists were Deloitte and Rice Warner. The top performing consultancies were determined based on the results of a Super Review survey that ran throughout June this year as reported by journalist Hannah Wooton.

Often with industry awards, we hear who wins, but we never quite know the details as to why. It makes this award quite fascinating because we get some of those answers. Naturally, we were extremely interested to hear how consulting firms are perceived in the industry and how we can improve.

For me, the survey results show that QMV’s depth of expertise and the value we offer has led to the win. The results suggest that our approach is different, fresh and aligned with what the market wants.

QMV were the leading consultancy for tender advice with 85% of respondents rating our services in this area as ‘excellent’.

All respondents felt that the quality and expertise of QMV’s personnel was ‘excellent’ with many respondents offering specific comments describing QMV as, “professional, knowledgeable, insightful and experienced”, “everything we need from consultants”, “very responsive”, and “tightly embedded in our project”.

QMV was found to offer the best value and quality of services with 85% of respondents reporting that we offered ‘excellent’ value for money and 100% of respondents labelled the overall quality of services provided by QMV as ‘excellent’.

Consistent with what we know about the market, the survey results showed that respondents utilised superannuation consultancies for services including research and analytics, industry knowledge, core superannuation system development, governance advice, business analysis, process analysis, strategic advice, investment surveys, technology, member experience, project resourcing, project delivery and project management.

QMV’s win reflects a period of particularly strong growth for the business, but ultimately, I believe this award is an acknowledgement of our core values. We identify and develop good people, hardworking people with outstanding talent.

QMV’s cultural motto is ‘expertise with character, ambition with humility’. We are genuinely passionate about super and we share a ‘members first’ mentality with our clients. We also understand that each client is unique and there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to consulting.

Clients come to us for the independence factor and because we drive value. We have the industry and technology battle scars that only experience provides. Across any piece of work, it’s about taking the smartest line but it’s also very much about what not to do and what traps not to fall into.

We were thrilled to see many of our clients nominated for various awards and in particular congratulate UniSuper, First State Super and CareSuper for taking out top honours and of course a big congratulations to Mercer executive, Brian Zanker, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his incredible contribution to the industry.

Importantly, I would like to take the opportunity to again acknowledge our valued clients. We thank them for their continued support, we love working alongside them and are extremely grateful to the many individuals who took the time to complete Super Review’s survey.

Finally, I would like to congratulate and thank the team at QMV past and present. The award is for each and everyone of you who continue to deliver for our client’s day in and day out. I am looking forward to celebrating accordingly over the coming weeks!

Cheers,

Mark
